Beautiful house with a lot of history. Staff and food are outstanding.
My daughter and I spent one night here - lovely! Very charming and comfortable. The best part was the full course breakfast that was actually served (not a buffet!), and it was delicious! Fruit, eggs, sausage, waffles, orange juice, and great coffee. Also, this is a pet-friendly place - big plus for me since I have to travel with my dog. We did have some trouble with the wifi, but I always have my Verizon jetpack with me, so for us that wasn't a big annoyance. If you go, make sure you go up into the cupola - so cool! We enjoyed visiting with the other guests at breakfast. The town of Monticello was delightful as well. Unfortunately, we arrived Saturday evening and left on Sunday, so none of the shops were open while we were there. My 12-year-old daughter said we need to go back sometime - I agree.
Very large very pretty house, beautifully decorated and very authentic feeling. Everyone was very nice. It got a little chilly downstairs at some points but otherwise a very enjoyable stay.
Beautiful old home and the rooms are so comfy! Robes, shampoos, everything....even slippers. The breakfast was outstanding!
Great Bed and breakfast. The room was great. The house and town takes you back to a slower and forgotten time. The breakfast was wonderful. I would recommend it for a night or several days. Close enough for a quick trip into Tallahassee with out all the traffic and noise.
